BORNEO SUBSEA SERVICES (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is a Malaysian registered Company located in Labuan F.T. Malaysia. The Company has been formed to provide Commercial Diving and Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) services to the oil, shipping, civil engineering and telecommunication industries. The Company was incorporated on 12^th September 1991; our Company number is 224905H.

The Company is a subsidiary of Borneo Divers & Sea Sports (Sabah) Sdn. Bhd, which is Borneo's first professional full service dive company, performing sport and commercial diving since January 1984. Another shareholder is Semaring Enterprises (Miri), who are heavily engaged in services to the for offshore oil and civil marine industries in Sarawak. Other shareholders and Directors include individuals from other offshore and related businesses (see Board of Directors). The Company is a Malaysian company and not just a "representative" company with foreign interests.

The concept of Borneo Subsea Services is to capitalise on the market need for a regionally based underwater service company to operate out of Labuan for the above mentioned industries. These industries around Borneo have always relied on the large multi-national dive companies from West Malaysia or Singapore to provide this service. If there is any need of emergency or rapid intervention (call out) work, equipment would be required to be brought in from West Malaysia or Singapore at further expense and loss of time to the Client.

Borneo Subsea Services is fully equipped and ready to meet your diving and R.O.V. needs at competitive rates out of Labuan, F.T. Malaysia.

We have shallow water diving and inspection equipment based in Labuan ready to work to 24 meters (80 feet) water depth. More specialised equipment in the form of large ROVs and Air/Mixed Gas Diving System for deeper diving can be brought in on short notice.

Borneo Subsea Services operations base is located in the Asian Supply Base (ASB) on Labuan. As such our Company has at our disposal the engineering and support facilities that ASB offers all of it’s clients. The base has two (2) jetties, cranes up to one hundred (100) tons, forklifts, workshops, engineering design and draughting, just to name a few of the facilities available.

Our Company is licensed by Petronas under the SU1 UNDERWATER SERVICES Category which includes 01- Underwater Engineering, Construction & Maintenance Services; 02- Surface Diving Services; 03- Saturation and Surface Diving Services and 04- Remotely Operated Vehicles (R.O.V) Services. Our License Number is L-224905-H.

We are registered with the Construction Industry Development Board of Malaysia (CIDB) as a G4 contractor under category CE (Civil Engineering Construction), with Specialities CE21 (General Civil Engineering Works) and CE16 (Underwater Construction Works and Maintenance).

We are registered with the Malaysian Federal Ministry of Finance as a Registered Contractor under the Categories 221607 (Diving Services) and 221601 (Salvage).

We are Approved Contractors for Sarawak/Sabah Shell, Brunei Shell Petroleum, Esso Production Malaysia, Malaysia LNG and Bintulu Port, to name a few.

We are approved for In-Water Surveys (UWILDs) by American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Lloyds Register (Llyod's), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Bureau Veritas (BV), Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) and Ships Classification Malaysia (SCM).

The Company has conducted various projects both as contract holders and on a sub-contractor basis. As a team we have conducted projects consisting of (but not limited to) inspections, construction, maintenance, repairs, survey and salvage work. These projects have been carried out for Clients in shipping, civil engineering, offshore oil, telecommunication (fibre optic) and power / hydroelectric industries.

Our Company is a member of the Association of Diving Contractors International and as such adheres to using their Consensus Standards for Commercial Diving and Underwater Operations as our minimum diving standards. We will be adhering to these Standards unless a Client advises us of additional standards he would want us to use. A copy of the above ADCI Consensus Standards can be given to the Client upon request.
